Closed-circuit television (CCTV) is the use of video cameras to transmit a signal to a specific place, on a limited set of monitors. It differs from broadcast television in that the signal is not openly transmitted, though it may employ point to point (P2P), point to multipoint, or mesh wireless links. Though almost all video cameras fit this definition, the term is most often applied to those used for surveillance in areas that may need monitoring such as banks, casinos, airports, military installations, and convenience stores. In industrial plants, CCTV equipment may be used to observe parts of a process from a central control room, for example when the environment is not suitable for humans. CCTV systems may operate continuously or only as required to monitor a particular event. A more advanced form of CCTV, utilizing Digital Video Recorders (DVRs), provides recording for possibly many years, with a variety of quality and performance options and extra features (such as motion-detection and email alerts). More recently, decentralized IP-based CCTV cameras, some equipped with megapixel sensors, support recording directly to network-attached storage devices, or internal flash for completely stand-alone operation.

Properly planned and installed video surveillance can protect property and limit some criminal activity-but it is not a cure-all.  Many criminals don't seem to be concerned about the long-term consequences of their actions, maybe due to drugs or just plain stupidity, criminals will commit crimes right in front of cameras.  Some criminals (the ones who are a little brighter) will work around limited systems and commit crimes where there are no security systems.  It is often said the best deterrent to break-ins is a sign or sticker indicating you have a security system-moving the crime to your neighboring business.  Not sure that is true but it does follow logic. The importance to your business begins with a well-designed video surveillance and alarm system that covers the areas where you are at risk.  This maybe your warehouse area, backdoor, loading dock or it might be an outside yard.  We work with many different types and sizes of Denver area companies to assist them in their video surveillance and alarm systems planning so that the system matches your risks and gives you control and peace of mind. Employees Many times the best use of a video system is to insure the "honesty" of your employees.  As it is well documented that many inventory shrinkage problems are the result of company employees moving items out the back door-not theft from outside thieves.  Video systems cannot turn a dishonest employee into an angel; but they can keep the dishonest employee from taking advantage of their situation and keep your losses to a minimum.   Security designed with all aspects of your risk can help prevent disruptive actions from happening. Experience Brent Clifton, the General Manger of CC Security Services, Inc., has many years of experience dealing with various types of business risk-and how to mitigate that risk with the right systems and monitoring.  He will work with you to match a system to your risks and to your budget.  Local Ownership with National Brands Being a local company does not mean much until you want to talk to someone about a problem and you have to call an 800 number to get an answer from a low level backroom employee located  who knows where!  We are here in Denver and will come and talk to you face to face about your needs and how we can help.  We can handle all of your security needs including providing monthly monitoring services starting as low as $17 per month.
